Catering and Events Supervisor

ASA Recruitment are looking to recruit full-time permanent Catering and Events Supervisors for one of our established clients in Edinburgh.

They provide a broad range of services within their portfolio, from international conferences to fine dining events. Our client is looking to find talented and experienced individuals to join their team alongside them as they look to expand.

In this position, you will hold a vital role within leadership in a wider catering team. There is significant responsibility to deliver successful both short term and long terms success of the business. You will be crucial in the building and maintaining of relationships between the guests and business.

The position requires you to work 35 hours within 5 out 7 days on a rota basis.

Responsibilities within the position:
· Ensure customer needs are met, always ensuring the quality of services being provided are in line with standard operating procedures.
· When required, give instruction and guide Catering & Events Assistant/s in service delivery.
· Individually, or when required, as part of a team, prioritise and carry out a range of routine tasks to ensure the running of a smooth service for the allocated event/s.
· Carry out routine record keeping such as ensuring sufficient items are available to deliver allocated event/s, recording dirty linen, and periodic counting of cutlery, crockery and glassware.
· Support pre-set induction programmes and development plans through on the job bud dying and training of colleagues to ensure consistency in service delivery as per department standard operation procedures.
· You will be required to undertake any additional duties at any catering location as requested by management.

The ideal candidate will:
· Have a minimum of 6 months experience in a 4/5* hotel conference and banqueting, event catering and/or fine dining hospitality operation.
· Be able to demonstrate you can deliver exceptional standards and drive their team forward.
· Possess excellent organisation skills that will coincide with their team’s work flow and dynamics.
· Maintain great levels of communication amongst a wide range of guests.
· Hold a full UK driver licence as you will be required to drive company vehicles.
· Right to work in the UK.
