Ever fancied becoming a Security Officer?

ASA Recruitment are working a Scottish public sector legal body to recruit an experienced Security Officer. This role is suitable for candidates based in the Edinburgh area to work on a part-time (31 hour) basis.

If you started in this role today you would be…

• Checking staff ID badges, issuing temporary badges and signing visitors in and out of the building on reception desk
• Inspect building at the end of working day, ensuring all windows and doors are closed, lights are off and the building is vacated and secure before leaving
• Ensure that no unauthorised person enters the building
• Take responsibility for fire evacuation of the building in the absence of Facilities Manager and Senior Facilities Officer (with Health & Safety)

So, what are we looking for?

• Previous experience working for emergency services (police, fire), prison service or security work within a business/office environment
• Good interpersonal skills
• Willingness to perform duties accurately and conscientiously, taking responsibility for the premises
