ASA are delighted to be working with a local Aberdeen client and are recruiting for a Supervisor for their venue. The position is based within a popular sports and leisure club within the admired area of Aberdeen’s West End. This is a permanent, 30 hour per week position starting asap for the right candidate. The club is open 7 days per week with food service running for 4 days, they also have a bar area as well as a separate function suite that can accommodate over 100 guests.

What is involved?
You will be supporting the Development Manager in all hospitality aspects of the club from working behind the bar and running food service with the other team members, to setting up the function room as required. You can also expect to have some administration responsibilities; helping with rotas and booking forms etc.

Who is the ideal candidate?
For this role we are not looking for someone with bags of supervisory experience – we are looking for a dedicated candidate ready to take on the challenge who has a clear flair for working in a customer facing, team based role. This may suit someone who is looking to take a step up the career ladder and is ready to take on more responsibility in day to day shifts, but would also suit someone who has existing Supervisor experience looking to build on this and become an integral part of the smooth running of the business. Skills to be able to help out with basic kitchen tasks would be beneficial. Applicants should be confident in all bar and waiting tasks, you must be a good communicator and most of all a team player.

What is on offer?
The client is offering this position on permanent basis working 30 hours per week on a rota basis – the opening hours for the club mean no super early starts or extremely late finishes into the small hours, leaving you enough time to create a work life balance. The salary for this role is 20,000 per aunnum with 28 days holiday (pro rata of a standard 40 hour week)
