Description

ASA are very excited to be working with our forward thinking client who has a fantastic track record in delivering solutions for a range of global projects. Working in Aberdeenshire, we are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic QHSE Coordinator on a permanent.

This position will see the candidate work in a business certified to ISO 9001:2015; 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 and active in a variety of industries, including: Oil and Gas, Renewables, Marine, Aquaculture and Defence.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Work with the team in ensuring that all company QHSE systems are utilised to their full potential and processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Assist with the continued development of the company QMS system including the introduction or improvement of relevant processes, procedures and systems of work
  • Conduct risk assessments as required, with the input of relevant stakeholders
  • Complete COSHH assessments
  • Being the focal point for the investigation of non-conformances, accidents, incidents and near-misses; establishing root causes and proposing suitable corrective actions to all stakeholders
  • Understand current legislative requirements relating to QHSE, and assist with the maintenance of the Legal Register
  • Be the focal point for client and certifying body audits
  • Prepare monthly QHSE reports, summarising relevant data for presentation to the board
  • Conduct periodic internal audits of the QMS system
  • Implement periodic audits on company supply chain partners
  • Effectively communicate matters relating to safety to all staff
  • Support the ongoing operations of the company by ensuring all tasks are completed in the agreed timeframe and meet internal and external requirements
  • Provide QHSE support across all business functions as required
  • The ability to use own initiative, and to be able to work individually or as part of a team

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Driven, Self-Motivated, Enthusiastic with a genuine passion for QHSE
  • 3 years or more of experience within a similar role
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, or similar recognised qualification
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage own workload effectively to meet deadlines as is necessary
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external contacts in a professional manner
  • Good computer skills – Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Works effectively within a team or other work group as appropriate
  • Lead auditor training
  • Risk assessment and COSHH training
