Are you an experienced Finance Administrator?

ASA Recruitment are working with one of Scotland’s most popular universities to recruit an experienced Finance Administrator. This role is suitable for candidates based in the Edinburgh area.

If you started in this role today you would be…

• Reviewing the monthly reports to meet forecasting deadlines, with reconciliations of all budgets, ensuring inconsistencies are resolved by identifying transfers and virements; working with school budget holders in relation to planned expenditure, budget management
• Providing support in operational financial queries in the school, primarily through a shared email inbox
• Determining requests for processing, monitoring accounts and advising on balance, coding, purchasing methods
• Requisitions, goods receipting, non-Purchase Order payments, such as payments and internal transfers (e.g. non-trade payments for visitors, external examiners, student payments such as fees and stipends) and sales invoices/credit notes

So, what are we looking for?

• Strong finance administration experience
• Previous experience of financial processing and budgeting
• Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, especially financial information to non-finance users
• Ability to plan, prioritise, take initiative and find proactive solutions, contribute new ideas to projects, work unsupervised, under pressure and multitask effectively
