Description

Are experienced in Website Design, looking for a temporary contract in Aberdeen? Are you ready to take a lead on Website Management?

We have an exciting opportunity to work with our Public Sector client to redevelop their website and help shape the digital future of their organisation and allow them to communicate more effectively with their users.

You will oversee a review of the website with a focus on user experience, making sure the website meets the needs of the users, is optimised for search engines and adheres to accessibility legislation and usability best practice.

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities for improving the website user experience (UX), making sure content is easy to use, accessible and engaging
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to implement website content improvements. This will include working with stakeholders to understand their requirements and recommending the best course of action, based on user feedback and performance metrics
  • Use your understanding of CSS, HTML and design prototyping tools, such as Figma, to design, test and refine user flows, wireframes, prototypes and final designs
  • Work with external developers to ensure designs are implemented correctly, meet web accessibility standards and are responsive across all devices and platforms
  • Analyse website performance metrics and use data to optimise content and UX
  • Maximise SEO on the website to improve search engine rankings
  • Work with team members to ensure adherence to best practice across all digital collateral

What you need

  • Proven knowledge and experience of reviewing website content, navigation and structure to identify opportunities to deliver site improvements
  • Ability to design wireframes and prototypes to communicate, test and refine UX/design concepts to enhance the user experience, considering the target audience, SEO and accessibility requirements
  • Understanding of website analytical tools and interpreting website data to develop and implement content optimisation strategies
  • Experience of working with internal stakeholders and external creative agencies to deliver website projects
