Back-end Software Engineer

Description

ASA is currently recruiting for a Back-end Software Engineer to join one of their well established clients in the public sector space on an initial 6 month contract with a possible extension up to 23 months. This contract is to commence at the end of June

This contract can be fully remote based within the UK with occasional travel to Glasgow as per client requirements. This role falls outside IR35 with a day rate up to £535.

We are looking to speak with individuals with the following experience:

• Technology knowledge:
• Particular working experience with Java 8+
• Experience in using Spring/Spring Boot frameworks
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful microservices
• Experience writing unit and integration tests
• Experience with CI/CD, including build tools (Jenkins, Groovy/Gradle, Maven, etc)
• Experience with AWS, Docker containers & associated tooling

• General knowledge:
  • Server-side and front-end coding
  • Programming Best Practices (i.e. Clean Code, SOLID, etc.)
  • Are familiar with good continuous integration and continuous delivery principles
  • Experience of microservice design patterns
