ASA are delighted to be extending our relationship with one of our National clients and are currently working on a part time Cook vacancy based in Inverness. This is a permanent position that involves 16 hours of work over the weekend only. The client is in the Social Care sector operating all over Scotland and this role in particular is within a residential rehabilitation centre for those affected by substance abuse.
As a Cook you will be required to prepare and serve nutritionally balanced meals and snacks to reflect the individual needs and requests of the service users. Some typical responsibilities of this role include;
· Ensuring a high standard of hygiene and safety in the kitchen and catering area
· Keeping accurate stock records, ordering stock and budgeting
· Preparing varied meals and present them to the highest possible standard
· Reporting any hazards, without delay, to the Hospitality Manager and the Unit Manager
We are looking for applicants who have previous catering experience, even better if in a similar environment. You should be confident in running the kitchen and communicating with other key members of the staff team. Basic computer literacy skills including use of Microsoft Office and the internet are also required to be successful in this role.
The salary for this 16 hours per week role is £21,474 to £21,749 – pro rata of a 38.5 hour per week.
