Contracts Claims and Insurance Manager

We have an incredible opportunity for a Claims and Contract Manager based in Aberdeen with a fantastic package to go with it. This role is a key part in all commercial contracts that our client enters into, both from a buy side and a sell side. You will ensure that business risks are known and where possible, covered by suitable insurance products and services.

What you will be doing?

• Review all client issued contract offers and advise local management of risks which could be detrimental to our overall business
• Advise Group CEO on risks contained in contracts giving opinions on potential business impacts
• Advise Business Managers if any contractual scope exceeds activities insurance coverage
• Ensure that company have suitable insurance coverage for all business risks
• Risk assess commercial contracts to highlight key exposures / risks

What you will need to succeed?

• Good degree in business administration or related / relevant subject
• Minimum 7 years post graduation experience in relevant discipline
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Good information presentation skills

Additional advantageous experience

• Minimum 5 years claim handling experience
• Experience in placing insurance with underwriters
• Thorough knowledge of the claim to settlement process
• Good working knowledge of the global logistics insurance market and its key underwriters
• Good grasp of client issued contracts and key terms to manage
