Financial Analyst

ASA recruitment are working with a highly successful engineering company who are looking to strengthen their existing team by adding a Financial Analyst. Based in the Glasgow area, the Financial Analyst will report directly to the Financial Controller and play an important role in the delivery of key financial reports to the wider business.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Preparation of management accounts including full balance sheet, profit and loss and variance analysis
• Preparation of multiple sets of project accounts
• Monthly reporting on projects
• Co-ordination of project meetings
• Monitoring of project costs
• Monthly revenue reporting
• Dealing with R&D claims
• Working closely with finance and non-finance stakeholders

The successful candidate will:

• Be a qualified accountant
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have strong systems experience and have the ability to manipulate data
• Be confident in presenting financial data to non-finance staff
• Be a self-starter with good time management skills
• Have experience of working in a large, fast paced business in a similar role
