Do you have experience in public engagement?

ASA Recruitment are looking to source an Engagement Support Officer to support a large Scottish public sector inquiry. This long term contract role is suitable for candidates based in the Edinburgh area, to work on a hybrid basis.

If you started in this role today you would be…

• Support the planning, design and implementation of various public engagement and participation activities, and putting forward options and recommendations based on research and evidence
• Participate in and/or support engagement and participation with local and national communities and individuals
• Participate in and/or support the liaising with the public, key stakeholders, third sector groups and academics
• Participate in and/or support the planning of public engagement activities across Scotland which encourages participation by underrepresented voices

So, what are we looking for?

• Excellent written and oral communications and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and build effective working relationships
• Great attention to detail, with the ability to identify and source information to produce accurate written and numerical work
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work flexibly and effectively as part of a team, sharing information and communicating effectively with colleagues
• Strong planning and organisational skills including the ability to manage challenging workloads and competing deadlines, whilst being able to respond flexibly to changing priorities
