Are you an experienced Financial Accountant?

ASA are looking to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant to join the transportation division within Scotland’s largest public sector client. This role is suitable for candidates based in Scotland’s Central Belt.

If you started in this role today you would…

• Produce timely and accurate financial information, for use in management reporting, consolidation and external publications including Annual Report and Accounts
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and financial regulations, including the Scottish Public Finance Manual (SPFM), specific regulations and accounting standards
• Support the accounting for the valuation of fixed assets by interrogating the asset valuation system and asset register and using the information to inform accounting entries and analysis required
• Play a key role in the delivery of the Annual Report and Accounts 2022-23

So, what are we looking for?

• Hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAS etc)
• Relevant experience of financial accounting and a sound knowledge of accounting standards
