Are you a Senior Financial Accountant?

ASA are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the transportation division within Scotland’s largest public sector client. This role is suitable for candidates based in Scotland’s Central Belt.

If you started in this role today you would…

• Lead the 4 member financial accounting team on business critical work such as the preparation and collation of the Annual Report and Accounts 2022, and the Annual Audit
• Overall review and challenge of the Administration budget, thus facilitating the financial aspects of workforce planning exercises, and the review and implementation of new technical accounting guidelines
• Lead on the process of overall challenge of monthly budget monitoring, leading the financial accountant in that process and reviewing the financial modelling done by the team, and reporting this to the Finance Management Team

So, what are we looking for?

• Experience of high level decision making and leading a financial team
• Hold a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, ICAS etc)
• Relevant experience of financial accounting and a sound knowledge of accounting standards
