Are you an experienced User Researcher looking to join a purposeful assignment?
ASA are looking to hire an established user researcher on behalf of our enthusiastic public sector client. Your skills and experience are very valued in the advancement of the project that will allow the organisation to maintain their mission of inclusion and access for their users.

The role is hybrid, with the office located in Edinburgh.

If you started in this role today you would…
· Plan and execute field and lab based user research relevant to the project.
· Provide advice to colleagues and encourage best practice in the achievement of robust and actionable findings.
· Be inclusive to the needs of a wide range of users, and carry out appropriate research activities.
· Support teams in designing and delivering an accessible service that works for all users.
· Run Sense Making and validation exercises to ensure the research accurately recognises user requirements.
· Be an advocate for user research to influence disengaged colleagues.

So, what are we looking for?
· You will have minimum of three years’ experience as a user researcher.
· Your experience in delivering at least 1 government project to either GDS; SAtSD; or Digital Scotland service standards will be demonstrable.
· You’ll have an awareness of researching with disabled users. You will have a knowledge of and understanding of inclusive and ethical researching.
· You’ll have prior experience working in a cross functional team within a UX design function.
· You will also be an expert in Agile methodology and UCD.
