Are you an experienced Accountant looking for your next role?

ASA Recruitment are working with a large Scottish educational client to source an experienced Financial Accountant. This role is suitable for candidates based in Scotland’s Central Belt.

If you started in this role today you would…

• Provide technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and legislation
• Provide training on adoption and changes to highly complex accounting standards and VAT regulations and the impact on the financial position of the organisation
• Develop and maintain a complex accounting model for large scale capital projects financed, ensuring that both the asset and liability are correctly stated
• Lead on the production of the financial statements in the annual accounts, ensuring the appropriate finance information is collated and summarised in line with standards

So, what are we looking for?

• Professionally qualified Accountant with membership of a recognised CCAB body, or part-qualified with extensive experience
• Experience in all areas of financial accounting including balance sheet reconciliations, rear end accounting, fixed assets and VAT
• Experience of public sector financial accounting would be advantageous
