Lead Technical Safety Engineer

ASA Recruitment have a great opportunity for a Lead Technical Safety Engineer to join our client’s progressive team based in Aberdeen. This is a contractor role.
Prime responsibilities and duties
· Responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance.
· Carry out work in accordance with PD&MS and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.
· Maintain the required technical quality of work
· Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Management of Change (MoC) Process.
· Ensure that safety engineering deliverables comply with the relevant procedures and regulations
· Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
· Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to discipline workscope
· Assist in preparation of estimates and schedules and assist in their review
· Maintain good communication with the Client
· Carry out site surveys when necessary
· Provide technical assistance to staff as required
· Review and check work output of discipline assigned staff as required
· Assist the Lead Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties
· Assist in training and mentoring as required
