ASA Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Control and Instrumentation engineer for a contractor position within the ever expanding and exciting Energy Sector. This role benefits from remote/hybrid working.

You will undertake engineering duties associated with design, certification and safe commissioning both on and offshore. Exercise technical authority, autonomy and professional acumen in all activities. Supervise the time of others in the team to achieve these duties.

You will be responsible for

• Responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance.
• Maintain the required technical quality of work
• Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the MoC Process.
• Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures and regulations
• Conducting key Surveys, both onshore and offshore, to determine information to allow execution of work scopes
• Prepare estimates and schedules and assist in their review
• Working constantly to ensure compliance with applicable Industry Codes and Standards, HSE Alerts, Statutory Instruments, Establishing order of precedence on a project-by-project basis.
• Assist the Lead Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties

What you’ll need to succeed

• BSc or equivalent in relevant Engineering Discipline (Preferred)
• Significant, demonstrable experience in Detailed Design Engineering and Engineering Checking (Preferred)
• Demonstrable knowledge of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards
• Understanding of the application of Autodesk Design products
• Experience in carrying out on/offshore FEED and detailed design Control and Instrumentation surveys and sourcing technical understanding. (Preferred but not essential)
• Proven capability in an engineering design company / EPCC support role experience
• Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS
• Competent in the use of MS Office applications
