DevOps Engineer

Description

Are you an experienced and highly ambitious Devops Engineer looking for your next challenge with Scotland’s largest Public Sector client.

ASA Recruitment are pleased to be working with the Scottish Government to help source a highly capable Dev Ops Engineer for this new and exciting Hybrid role, this will be a minimum 6 month contracted role and would suit candidates based in the Central belt.

If you started in this role you would be tasked with…

*Implementing high-level technical requirements in a reliable, scalable and performant way
*Providing coaching and mentoring to more junior colleagues
*Ensuring due technical consideration is given to make processes repeatable, scalable and secure
*Providinging support to delivery teams and solving complex problems
*Attending all associated Agile ceremonies and make use of collaborative tooling (Slack, Confluence, Jira)
*Being proactive on identifying improvements.
*Be transparent and collaborative when making decisions
*Be able to work with clients with low technical expertise

So what are we looking for?

The successful candidate should have…

· 5+ years in a hands-on platform engineer / devops role working at a senior level
· Expert level Kubernetes infrastructure build and operate experience
· Demonstrable experience building secure solutions on Kubernetes at scale using AWS EKS
· Ability to contribute to architecture roadmap for business area through leading and participating in Proof Of Concept (POC)/prototyping initiatives
