We are looking to appoint a qualified Social Worker to undertake Adult Social Work within the Access Team, covering the whole of Perth & Kinross.
You will be part of a diverse team covering the full range of statutory duties across adult services working as part of the wider Health and Social Care Partnership. Interesting and diverse practice opportunities for front line staff are provided through short complex casework across all adult client groups within the Access team.
The successful applicant will assist in supporting people within the community by providing a range of social work and care management tasks including carrying out Outcome Focused Assessments, negotiating flexible packages of care, promoting Self Directed Support, attending meetings and working closely with our colleagues in Housing, Locality Teams, Care providers, Commissioning and Health.
Responsibilities will also include statutory work under the Adult Support and Protection Act, delivering a duty service completing direct access to care applications and welfare checks.

THE PERSON
You will be a reliable, honest, dedicated and trustworthy individual with the ability to motivate and engage others.
You will have the ability and commitment to act ethically and will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
You will hold a relevant qualification (e.g. DipSW or equivalent and be registered with SSSC). You will hold a valid driving licence and be at least one year post qualified Social Worker.
If you are a newly qualified Social Worker, but do not yet have your qualification, you may apply however, please note that if you are successful, you will be offered a position at a lower grade until you receive your qualification.
This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children and adults.
36 hours, Monday – Friday 08.45 – 17.00 with an hour for lunch.
£38310 per annum
