Senior Security Architect

Description

We are seeking Senior Security Architect to provide support and guidance to an unprecedented programme of work, ensuring that designs, architecture and approach are robust and secure, and meet internal and external governance requirements. You will be operating across the programme’s work streams and be working with key third parties to ensure the overall operation meets internal and external policies and standards. Based in Edinburgh, this Senior Security Architect role is for 6 months.

Essential:

· Broad and deep technical knowledge covering application, data, technology and security domains with associated experience in designing secure solutions using industry standard tools and techniques
· Demonstrable experience and track-record of successful delivery of IT security architecture solutions in support of organisational programmes and projects.
· Experience of assuring project outputs against agreed architectural design
· Relevant enterprise/solution architecture qualifications (e.g. BCS Certificate in Enterprise & Solution Architecture, TOGAF certification etc)
· Experience of implementing technical security controls in a variety of organisations, controls could include:- Firewalls, WAF’s, Desktop build, Mobile Device Management controls, Web Content, Internet filtering, Email & Messaging, OS builds, Database protection, Application vulnerability mitigations (eg: OWASP); Pen testing assurance, ID&V, Identity mgmt., RBAC, SSO deployment, SoD controls
· Risk management frameworks and tools – knowledge of RMADS development and similar approaches
· Relevant security qualification – CISSM/CISSP/ISMS
· Knowledge of Scottish government frameworks, policies and controls
