Are you an experienced Health and Safety Officer?

ASA Recruitment are working alongside a well-respected Glasgow college to source an experienced Senior Health and Safety Officer. This role is suitable for candidates based in the Glasgow area.

If you started in this role today you would be…

• Act as the College ‘Competent Person’ in respect of Health and Safety
• Line manage, coach and co-ordinate the work of the Health and Safety Officer
• Work with key staff in the College to ensure all staff understand their roles and responsibilities in respect of Health and Safety
• Lead inspections and audits across the College to ensure Health and Safety procedures are being adhered to
• Prepare, coordinate and deliver Health and Safety training and briefings for staff on key topics

So, what are we looking for?

• Health and Safety qualified eg. NEBOSH, CMIOSH, COSHH
• Lengthy experience of Health and Safety implementation in a variety of settings
• Experience of undertaking H&S inspections
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues
