ASA Recruitment are looking to source a highly experienced Senior Category Buyer to support the Procurement department within a large public body. This role is suitable for candidates based in Scotland’s Central Belt.

If you started in this role today you would…

• Responsible for managing and monitoring procurement activity for particular commodity and service portfolios
• Purchasing goods and services in line with specified costs, quality and delivery requirements
• Responsible for developing alternative sources of goods and services
• Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies across the portfolio of commodities to minimise risk and provide best value for money

So, what are we looking for?

• Strong experience in a procurement background
• Experience in developing invitations to tender documents and timely renewal of existing contracts
• Experience in contract management and record keeping utilising digital systems in line with best practice
• MCIPS qualified, part-qualified or equivalent
