Senior Content Designer (outside IR35)

Are you an experienced Senior User Researcher looking for an opportunity to work in the public sector and join a busy and proactive team?

ASA Recruitment are working with a large scale public agency client to source a Senior Content Designer with a proven ability of planning and creating accessible user-centred content. – This role is available on a remote/hybrid working basis and is Outside of scope of IR35

In this role you will be expected to manage and mentor a small team of content designers, lead the design and implementation of content strategies and work with user researchers to understand users and identify who they are and what their needs are based on evidence.

In this role you will be Expected to…

• Make sure appropriate content is shown to a user in the right place and in the best format
• Start from discovery and work closely with user researchers, service designers and interaction designers
• Take responsibility for content quality, managing small teams and mentoring content designers
• Write and map user stories, assure quality and review the work of others
• Lead on cross-government content projects
• Engage with and contribute to the cross-government content community.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Extensive experience of writing for the web, with proven ability of planning and creating accessible user-centred content within a heavily digital environment
• Stong Team leadership skills
• Proven experience in using data and user feedback to define and refine content
• Experience in working with content publishing systems
• Extensive experience of managing relationships with stakeholders.

This role offers a secure 6 month contract initially, with potential to extend, working 37 hours Monday to Friday for a large public sector client within the Scottish central belt.
