ASA Recruitment are working with Scotland’s largest public sector client to source an experienced Research Commissioning Manager to aid with a new public inquiry, this role is suitable for candidates based in Scotland’s Central Belt.

If you started in this role today you would be…

  • Manage the commissioning of external research work of the public inquiry as it will require research to help direct its line of investigations
  • Drafting specifications required for external research commissions and procurement
  • Managing research contracts, checking in with academics and researchers as required
  • Ensuring quality control, monitoring progress and reading reports at draft stages to ensure the research meets standards and deadlines

So, what are we looking for?

  • Lengthy experience in a research background
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect and analyse information from a variety of sources, draw out key messages in order to problem-solve and make recommendations
  • Public sector experience would be highly advantageous
