ASA are seeking experienced Care and Support Workers to support our wide range of clients which range from care homes, sheltered housing, very sheltered housing, support services and care at home in Aberdeen. For this role we are looking for those specifically with an SVQ 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
What might I do as a Care and Support Worker?
Working as a Care and Support Worker will bring extremely varied days – you may be joining service users on days out or getting involved with fun activities on site baking or crafts, encouraging them to participate. In all that you do, you should promote independence and guide those you are working with through their day to day lives. You may be required to carry out personal care and assist with manual handling depending on the shift / client you are working with. You will undoubtedly become a friendly face for those you work with and will form a relationship with them and their families.

Our ideal applicant is a positive and approachable individual who is committed to the work that they do – you should strive to positively influence the lives of those who need the most care and support and encourage as much independence as possible in daily life. You should be a strong communicator and a key team player who is ready and willing to use their own initiative to also work independently. We would require a PVG update as part of the registration process and SSSC registration within 6 months of employment. Please note 6 months UK work experience in healthcare is essential along with the SVQ 2 or 3 qualification.
