Assistant Accountant

Are you an experienced assistant accountant and looking for your next challenge?

If so, ASA recruitment are working with an established building services company to source an Assistant Accountant. The role can be based in either the Edinburgh or Perth office and therefore suitable to candidates within the Lothian and Perthshire region.

If you started in this role today you would be …

· Preparing draft monthly accounts and month end journals
· Assisting in budgeting and forecasting
· Looking after reconciliations, balance sheet and general ledger and managing cash
· Preparing monthly and quarterly return to HMRC and ONS
· Raising and posting sales invoices, handling supplier payments and Credit control activities
· Deputise for Financial Controller as appropriate

What would make you successful in this role?
· Part-qualified, newly qualified accountant /or proven track record of experience
· Management Accounting exposure
· High level of IT and tools experience including intermediate MS Excel skills
· Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
· Good verbal and written communication skills
