Are you an experienced PMO Manager looking to be involved in an unprecedented programme of work? Working with the Programme Manager, you will develop and implement the Terms of Reference for the Census Programme Management Office (PMO). Based in Edinburgh, this PMO Manager role is initially for 6 months.
Main duties:
· Determine the capability and capacity requirements of the Census PMO
· Be responsible for developing, coaching PMO team members, setting objectives, management of one-to-one reviews
· Be responsible for workload management of the PMO team and prioritisation of work, especially ad hoc requests to support Programme priorities
· Establish, roll-out and maintain project and programme management (PPM) tools through training and support
· Ensure appropriate reporting and flow of information across the Programme
· Design, challenge and agree management dashboards
Essential:
· Significant experience and knowledge of managing Programme Management Offices in high-profile, fast-paced programmes
· Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with a powerful ability to influence at all levels to achieve programme management outcomes
· Strong team leadership and people management/development skills
· Proven PPM skills, with particular emphasis on planning
