Do you have a passion for the culinary arts? As a Chef at a care home you will be responsible for creating nutritious and delicious meals for the care home residents, ensuring that their dining experience is to the upmost standard. Become part of the catering teams that strive for professional and consistent delivery of the highest quality meals.
Our ideal candidate will have leadership qualities to ensure effective breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. Exceptional time management is also required. Great communication skills are also necessary.
ASA Recruitment are looking for a Chef/Cook to work within various care homes throughout Fife and its surrounding areas. You’ll be responsible for creating enticing meal ideas for the care home residents, to oversee that kitchen equipment and appliances is being used safely, and to ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and organised.
Requirements include:
· Preparing meals for the care home residents, staff, and visitors.
· Overseeing that all kitchen equipment, surfaces, and appliances are kept clean.
· To be able to use all kitchen equipment safely.
· Be health and safety aware, and comply with all food and hygiene regulations.
· Set a good example in regards to dress, hygiene, behaviour, manner, and safety awareness.
· Being responsible for meal planning, delivery taking, safety inspections, and maintenance.
Requirements to be considered:
· PVG member or the willingness to apply (applications to be done through ASA Recruitment).
· Food hygiene certificates.
· 6 months catering experience in the United Kingdom.
· Be flexible to the care resident’s needs.
· Maintain confidentiality.
