About the Client:
ASA are looking for a chef for a sports and function venue in the AB33 8 area of Aberdeenshire. The venue provides excellent bar and catering facilities where they host multiple community events including quiz nights, bingo and darts leagues to club members and numerous additional visitors. Surrounded by terrific views of the countryside this position makes for a fantastic opportunity for the right person.

Your Opportunity:
We are looking for someone to work alongside the existing kitchen team for mostly weekend work and additional day’s holiday cover. Say goodbye to the early morning starts and late finishes – the typical day in this job changes every day depending on the events happening but would generally see you catering functions of 30-40 people with working hours from lunchtime until mid-evening.
Our ideal candidate is someone who is confident running a kitchen and producing plates of a high standard. We are looking for candidates that are reliable, hardworking and committed to their job.

Responsibilities Include:
· Set menu planning for functions and events.
· Prepping and cooking savoury and sweet courses.
· Monitoring and recording temperatures in fridge and freezer areas.
· Correct use of equipment and storing and labelling of all produce.
· Leading other members of the kitchen team where required.

Requirements:
Some shifts would be working alongside the second chef however you must be confident working alone covering all responsibilities within the kitchen to a high standard. You must also have excellent communication and time keeping skills to make sure service runs as smooth as possible. Own transport is preferred due to location however can be reached by public transport if willing.
