Our client is a temporary accommodation for vulnerable homeless young adults. The project provides care and support for vulnerable young people through individual key working meetings to provide a comprehensive assessment of need and formulate a robust resettlement plan. The service operates a 24/7 service.

Applicants must have the ability to develop positive working relationships with young adults experiencing homelessness as well as being able to respond to disclosures of a personal and sensitive nature and deal with occasional challenging behaviours. Applicants must also possess excellent verbal, written and communication skills.

The Role:

Build trusting relationships with young people and provide a safe, non-judgmental space.
Help young people develop life skills, confidence, and positive coping strategies.
Assist with goal setting, employment, and personal growth.
Ensure each young person receives the right help.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support to individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them access safe housing, healthcare, and social services.
Work one-on-one with service users to assess their needs, develop action plans, and set achievable goals.
Advocate on behalf of service users, ensuring they receive the resources and support they need.
Offer emotional support and guidance to empower individuals to rebuild their lives.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work empathetically with people from diverse backgrounds.
Experience in housing, social work, or mental health services is desirable but not essential.
