There are a variety reasons where it could be useful for a Children and Families Social Worker to be in contact with individuals and their households in Inverclyde. Children and Families that receive the support of a Social Worker are from range of backgrounds. Sometimes these can included children or parent’s living with disabilities, individuals with difficulty accessing their community or those facing relationship difficulties.

Our Inverclyde based client is seeking a compassionate locum Children and Families Social Worker to assess, support and plan for better results for children, parents or carers in the local community. Working alongside Family Support Workers, Occupational Therapist and additional Health and Social Care staff will assist the successful Social Worker to gather a well-rounded understanding of the families in your care and help you in delivering person-centred practice.

To be considered for the position of Inverclyde’s locum Children and Families Social Worker you must have:

· A degree or equivalent in Social Work
· Previous experience working with a Children and Families service
· A good understanding of Joint Investigative Interviewing
· Registration with SSSC as a Social Worker
· Membership with the PVG scheme and have the willingness to undertake an update
· A UK driver’s licence
· Be available to begin full-time, asap (flexi time available)
