Catering Assistant

Description

At ASA we are looking to add new, hardworking Catering Assistants to our pool of temporary workers to support our client in Local Authority schools across Aberdeen. Shifts range from 10 to around 15 hours per week, working over lunchtime – perfect for those who need to work around school hours. You should be a team player who works and engages well with others as well as a strong communicator and hard worker. Candidates should be reliable and flexible and additionally passionate about offering the best possible service.

The ideal candidate will have PVG and Food Hygiene Certificates and be able to provide two references for previous work experience.

Main Duties:
· Working alongside the cook and other members of the kitchen team and staff
· Assisting in food preparation using safe methods of food hygiene
· Serving food to pupils at lunchtime
· Complying with health and safety guidelines and PPE requirements
· Practising safe use of equipment and cleaning agents
· Cleaning, organising and stocking the kitchen where required
