Description

Are you a Control and Instrumentation Designer looking for a new challenge within the energy sector?
ASA Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced Control and Instrumentation Designer for a permanent position within the ever expanding and exciting Energy Sector.
Your new role
Working as part of a design team, the Senior Designer produces and checks engineering design deliverables. The Senior Designer is responsible for ensuring that designs meet project requirements.
Execute Control and Instrumentation discipline design activities within budget and schedule, while maintaining technical integrity
Prepare Control and Instrumentation drawings and design deliverables to the required technical quality with minimum input from engineering personnel.
You will be responsible for
· Responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance.
· Maintain the required technical quality of work
· Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the MoC Process.
· Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures and regulations
· Carry out site surveys when necessary
· Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
· Working constantly to ensure compliance with applicable Industry Codes and Standards, HSE Alerts, Statutory Instruments, Establishing order of precedence on a project-by-project basis.
· Assist the Lead Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties
· Execute design and draughting activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Study & Detailed Design)

What you’ll need to succeed
· HND in relevant engineering discipline (Preferred)
· HNC in relevant engineering discipline (Preferred)
· Previous demonstrable experience in detailed design (Preferred)
· Experience in design checking (Preferred)
· Demonstrable knowledge of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards
· Highly competent in the use of Autodesk design products (Mandatory)
· Experience in carrying out on/offshore FEED and detailed design Control and Instrumentation surveys and sourcing technical understanding. (Preferred but not essential)
· Proven capability in an engineering design company / EPCC support role experience
· Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS (Mandatory)
· Competent in the use of MS Office applications
· Exposure to People Management (Preferred)
