Electrical Design Engineer

Are you an Electrical Designer looking for a new challenge within the energy sector?
ASA Recruitment are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Designer for a position within the ever expanding and exciting Energy Sector. Contractor Roles are also available.
Your new role
Working as part of a design team, the Designer produces engineering design deliverables. The Designer is responsible for ensuring that designs meet project requirements. Execute Electrical discipline design activities within budget and schedule, while maintaining technical integrity.
You will be responsible for
· Maintain the required technical quality of work
· Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the MoC Process.
· Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures and regulations
· Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to discipline work scope
· Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
· Carry out site surveys when necessary.
· Review and check work output of discipline assigned staff as required
· Assist the Lead Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties.
What you’ll need to succeed
· HND in relevant engineering discipline (Preferred)
· HNC in relevant engineering discipline (Preferred)
· Demonstrable knowledge of relevant Oil & Gas Industry Codes and Standards
· Highly competent in the use of Autodesk design products (Mandatory)
· Must be experienced in delivering design work scopes from start to finish, incorporating all review activities, information retrieval, client liaison and production of design deliverables though detail design to construction and finally to close-out stage
· Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS (Mandatory)
· Competent in the use of MS Office applications
· Preferred / advantageous skills and experience: Brownfield modification experience, 3D Modelling software
