There are numerous reasons where it could be important for a Children and Families Social Worker to communicate with individuals and their households in West Lothian. Not one select group is eligible over another to the support of a Social Worker and often the children and families that do receive this are from a wide variety of backgrounds. Sometimes these can included children or parent’s living with disabilities, individuals with difficulty accessing their community or those facing relationship challenges.

Our West Lothian based client is seeking an empathetic Children and Families Social Worker to assess, support and plan for better outcomes for children, parents and carers in the community. Working alongside Family Support Workers, Occupational Therapist and additional Health and Social Care staff will assist you in gaining a holistic understanding of families in your care and aid you in providing a person-centred approach to your practice.

In order to be considered for the position of Children and Families Social Worker in West Lothian you must have:

· A degree or equivalent in Social Work
· Previous experience working with a Children and Families service
· Registration with SSSC as a Social Worker
· Membership with the PVG scheme and have the willingness to undertake an update
· A UK driver’s licence
· Be available to begin full-time, asap (flexi time available)
