ASA Recruitment are looking to recruit an Assistant Buyer for a permanent position with a rapidly expanding client in the exciting Energy sector. This role is suitable for candidates based within travelling distance to Aberdeen.

If you started in this role today you would…

• Assist with vendor assessments, bid reviews and contract award formalities and help to prepare bid summaries and procurement status reports
• Communicate with vendors and suppliers to maintain strong working relationships
• Assist engineers in the preparation of material requisitions to ensure compliance
• Help with negotiations in the commitment of purchases, front cost negotiations, competitive bidding, market and vendor knowledge
• Ensure full compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies, keeping in line with the core values for the group

So, what are we looking for?

• You will be a qualified procurement professional with membership of a recognised body, i.e. CIPS Level 2 or equivalent, assisting with procurement tasks in line with global standards
• Demonstrate experience in a similar role
• Experience of compliance to health and safety and environmental standards
• A background in the energy sector such as oil and gas and renewables would be advantageous
