Description
The ideal candidates will be able to undertake engineering duties associated with design, certification and safe commissioning on both on and offshore. Exercise technical authority, autonomy and professional acumen as well as execute pipeline discipline engineering activities within budget and schedule, while maintaining technical integrity. Hybrid working is available and the role will be split between either their Aberdeen or Glasgow office and home / remote working
You will be responsible for:
- Assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personal and team performance
- Carry out work in accordance with PD&MS and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems
- Maintain the required technical quality of work
- Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the MoC Process
- Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures and regulations
- Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
- Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to discipline workscope
- Prepare estimates and schedules and assist in their review
- Maintain good communication with the Client and visit sites when necessary
- Carry out site surveys when necessary
- Encourage and provide lateral learning within the discipline
- Provide technical assistance to staff as required
- Review and check work output of discipline assigned staff as required
- Assist the Lead Engineer and others when requested in the execution of their responsibilities and duties

- Safety aware Experience Piping Engineering Energy Sector experience (Oil & Gas preferred but not essential) in delivery of Piping projects
- Experience in carrying out on/offshore FEED and detailed design piping surveys and providing technical direction to Dimensional Control Surveyors
- Conversant in the following; Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), Applicable Piping Codes ASME, API, ASTM, EEMUA, BS, NACE, Autodesk products (AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, RECAP)
- Significant, demonstrable experience in Detailed Design Engineering and Engineering Checking (Preferred)
- Right to work in the UK
- Survival BOSIET/FOET with CA-EBS M MIST
- Excellent written and spoken English
