Social Worker – Fostering and Adoption

Our longstanding client based in Angus is currently seeking a diligent locum Children and Families Social Worker to be based within their Fostering and Adoption service for a minimum of 6 months, earning up to £30 per hour.

As a Social Worker within a fostering and adoption service, you will develop relationships with foster families in Angus; getting to know their household any other family members such as additional children that already live there. Gaining an in-depth understanding of a family’s dynamics will help you determine whether a child or children may flourish if placed with that particular family. Fostering Service Social Workers are responsible for supporting the whole family not solely the fostered or adopted child or children so it is crucial that the successfully appointed Social Worker has excellent communication skills in order to do this effectively. In supporting whole families, you will make regular home visits throughout Angus so it is also essential to have access to a car with a UK driver’s licence.

In order to be considered for the role of a locum Social Worker within our client in Angus’ Fostering and Adoption service you must:

· Be a qualified Social Worker
· Have had experience working within a Fostering and/or Adoption service previously
· Have a membership with the PVG and be willing to undergo an update
· Be available to begin in the role ASAP
· Have a UK driver’s licence and access to a car

Part time and full-time candidates will be considered for this position, due to our client offering flexi-time.
