Interim Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) Advisor

Are you an experienced Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) Advisor looking for a temporary position with an immediate start? Then we have the role for you!

Your new role

You will support the Equalities Professional Advisor with implementation of EQIA in line with Public Sector Equality Duty as specified within the Equality Act 2010 and the Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties) (Scotland) Regulations 2012.

The Equality Impact Assessment (EQIA) Advisor will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Equalities Professional Adviser with the effective deliver of EQIA Capacity Building training.
• Ensure EQIA’s are embedded across all activities and programmes
• Support colleagues to become confident in completing EQIA’s using an organisational platform

What you’ll need to succeed

• Educated to degree level/post graduate qualification/SCQF9 or able to demonstrate direct relevant experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and our public duties in relation to EQIA’s
• EQIA trained/competent in supporting individuals to complete the EQIA process
• Excellent IT skills and practical management
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
