Description
An organisation in Edinburgh, who plays a key role in the administration of Justice is currently looking to recruit a Director of Change LABs & Business Architecture to continually interface with strategic operational thinkers to address the ever changing needs of the organisation. This is an initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend by another 6 months outside of IR35.
As the Director of Change LABs & Business Architecture you will:
- Maximise the value delivered across all of our areas of investment
- Gain a deep understanding of justice operating environment and reform agenda, advising on how we can better capture the business need, targeted value and order or priority
- Understand and articulate where opportunities exist to enhance business system and create value
- Influence and build the confidence of colleagues and partners to embrace change and be strong advocates of a digitally enhanced future
- Act as a credible change agent, instigating innovation in the way services are provided
- Deliver both operational process enhancement and the underpinning technical capability in radically new ways, with a focus on disruptive innovation to drive transformational change
- Work in partnership with the Head of Design and Digital Innovation to ensure design and delivery meet technical architecture and design standards authority
- Embedding Agile development methodology across the LABs, adopting the LOAD framework and the Scottish Approach to Service Design
- Leading a team of four senior managers (LAB Leads), you will have overall responsibility for around 50 change professionals working within the LAB environments responsible for the development, delivery, embedding of change, realisation of targeted value and overall Business architecture
- Working closely with the key stakeholder groups across the Justice System
- In Operational Process Re-engineering, have the capability of starting with a blank sheet of paper and rethink existing processes on how to deliver real value
What you will bring to the role:
- Knowledge and capabilities lead on a range of Agile and Lean tools and techniques, with an ability to coach within and outside of your team
- Experience in supporting effective budget management within the constraints of the project
- Ability to communicate effectively across organisational, technical and political boundaries, understanding the context
- You can contribute to the work of the community, building successful teams through understanding team styles and influencing as well as motivating team members
- Understanding the different phases of product delivery and can contribute to, plan or run these. You can maintain a product or process through the delivery phases, into live and then into retirement
- A consistent and ongoing approach to planning, forecasting, estimating, managing uncertainty, metrics and measurements, contingency planning and roadmapping
