ASA Recruitment are working on behalf of a major public sector client in Inverness to recruit a full time temporary Clerical Assistant. If you have experience of working in an office environment and have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office then we want to hear from you.
As a Clerical Assistant your duties will include:-
* Information management, including storage and retrieval of documents in accordance with Council policy, and management of spreadsheets and databases
* Personnel and payroll administration including training, leave and all types of absence
* Financial transactions including purchasing goods and services, paying for goods and services, raising invoices and internal transactions
* Scheduling, including organising meetings
* Customer contact including dealing with visitors to Council premises.
* Ensure all documentation is received and issued to meet critical performance deadlines
* The post holder will be expected to assist in the training/coaching of new members of staff as required
* The post holder will be expected to act on their own initiative with a minimum of supervision.
As a Clerical Assistant you will have the following essential experience:-
· Worked in an office environment, preferably within a front line service delivery environment
· Well-developed knowledge and proven experience of Microsoft Office, in particular Word & Excel
· Ability to organise and plan activities, with attention to accuracy and detail, to meet deadlines and targets
This role will require working in the office, on a Monday to Friday schedule from 07:00 – 15:00.
