Description

ASA is working with a major public sector client and are currently looking for a Senior User Researcher with experience in planning and executing field and lab based user research according to business and project needs.

In this role you will be responsible for:
· Working with another senior user researcher to plan and execute a range of remote user research activities according to project needs, with the possibility of returning to field and lab based engagements later this year
· Ensuring that research findings are robust, actionable and suited to the overall aims and objectives of the project by advising on choice and application of appropriate user research methods and tools.
· Facilitating the inclusion of different types of users in appropriate research activities
· Undertaking development and assurance of ethics and consent processes; supporting the development of privacy and equalities impact assessments
· Advocating for accessibility, assisted digital and inclusive design practices and help teams design and deliver accessible services that work for all users
· Supporting teams to continually improve their understanding of and engagement with users
· Providing actionable insights to support design decision making
· Participating in and supporting programme and project assurance activities

To be successful in this role you will need:
· Experience in a digital research setting, designing and delivering a wide range of inclusive user-centred design research including: negotiating research briefs, leading research activity and delivering actionable insights
· To be able to demonstrate the ability to choose and apply appropriate user-centred design research methods for different design life cycle phases and situations
· Ability to communicate research approaches and insights effectively in a way that stimulates conversation and collaboration
· Knowledge of other user centred design practices and experience of collaborating with them for service delivery

This role offers a secure 3 month contract working Monday to Friday for a large business in the public sector in the Central Belt.
