Service Designer

Description

ASA are working with a large business within the public sector and are currently looking for an experienced Service Designer who is able to interpret evidence based research and incorporate it into their work and contribute to the development of design concepts

In this role you will be responsible for:
o Supporting the design and implementation of services, strategies and policies to ensure the requirements of the business and the needs of the user are being met
o Working with user researchers and senior service design colleagues to action user insights
o Assisting the facilitation of co-design with design teams, service users and other stakeholders
o Contributing to prototyping and working with senior colleagues to validate proposed design solutions using a variety of prototyping tools
o Informing design decision making and support communicating how decisions have been reached
o Advocating for inclusive, collaborative, user centred service design practices and embed them into service design and delivery
o Using service design tools and methods as directed

To be successful in this role you will need:
o Experience in a service design setting, delivering a range of service design activities including:
· Supporting team members to understand the value of design
· Negotiating design briefs and service developments
· Leading service design activities
· Delivering service outcomes based on user, staff and organisational needs
o To be able to demonstrate the ability to choose and apply appropriate user- centred design methods for different design life cycle phases and situations through data gathering, idea & concept generation, and prototyping.

This role offers a secure 6 month contract, with the potential to extend to the maximum of 23 months, working 37 hours Monday to Friday for a large public sector client in the Central Belt.
