Dev Ops Engineer

Description

ASA are working with a large business in the public sector and are currently looking for a Dev Ops Engineer with experience using AWS EKS to build secure solutions on Kubernetes at scale

In this role you will be responsible for:
· Implementing high-level technical requirements in a reliable, scalable and performant way
· Providing coaching and mentoring to more junior colleagues
· Providing support to delivery teams and solving complex problems using technical knowledge and experience in Dev Ops environments
· Being transparent and collaborative when making decisions
· Ensuring technical consideration is given to make processes repeatable, scalable and secure
· Attending all associated Agile ceremonies and make use of collaborative tooling (Slack, Confluence, Jira)

To be successful in this role you will need:
· At least 3 years’ experience in a practical Dev Ops role
· Expert level Kubernetes infrastructure build and operate experience
· Demonstrable experience building secure solutions on Kubernetes at scale, ideally using AWS EKS
· Experience with Istio service mesh
· Experience building secure solutions using Hashicorp tooling: Terraform and Vault
· To be able to demonstrate practical experience with RedHat/CentOS/Amazon Linuz
· Experience managing infrastructure as code, catering for multiple environment differences
· To be able to demonstrate a firm grasp of Dev Ops and Agile methodologies
· To be able to demonstrate experience using VCS (Version Control System) in team environments
· Demonstrable experience identifying manual processes suitable for automation

This role offers a secure 6 month contract, with the potential to extend to a maximum of 23 months, outside the scope of IR35, working 5 days a week in the public sector in Scotlands Central Belt
