Functional Test Analyst

Are you an experienced Functional Test Analyst ready for your next contract in the Scottish public sector?

Our client are currently looking for a contract Functional Test Analyst for a programme running through to 2022. This is a team role, liaising with the Test Lead, members of the Programme Team, software suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure sufficient test coverage.

Scope of the role:

· Work with Test Leads to create test plans to cover the requirements of the programme
· Perform a supplier assurance role, reviewing supplier system testing against requirements
· Work with technical leads and suppliers to understand integration points and prepare test cases for SIT
· Work with business leads and Business analysts to understand user journeys and prepare test cases for UAT
· Perform test execution during the SIT phase, preparing test progress and defect reports as required by the Test Lead
· Perform test execution and support business users to execute tests during the UAT phase, preparing test progress and defect reports as required by the Test Lead
· Functional test and support activities may extend in to Operational Readiness

Essential Criteria:

1. Able to create and execute test plans for functional testing requirements and clearly communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
2. Have good skills within the JIRA toolset ensuring clearly controlled / managed processes throughout the test life-cycle
3. Lead investigative work into problems and opportunities in existing processes and create recommendations
4. Able to design and execute for standard functional testing

Points to note:

· This is a 6 month, day rate contract.
· Inside scope of IR35.
· Potential for extension up to 23 months.
· Minimum clearance level Basic Disclosure (BPSS will be required before commencing).
