Events Officer

Are you an experienced events expert who is looking to play an essential part in a large scale Glasgow event?

ASA are looking for an Events Officer to work with an established team to prepare and deliver the clients COP26 event along with other key events in their upcoming programme.

This contract opportunity would be perfect for an individual who has the experience, credibility and previous experience of working on and creating highly professional events.

The Role:

• To Manage the logistics, operations and administration of key events within the clients upcoming events programme this summer and beyond
• Liaise with partners and stakeholders on each event and organising key steering groups and their respective meeting schedules for each event
• Be the main point of contact for a range of large scale established venues in central Glasgow
• Manage invitations and social media responses and messages for each respective event, also work with content creators on each of the events web presence
• Record all event expenditure and manage ongoing budgets
• Handling all inbound event queries

Successful candidates for the Events Officer role will need:

• Extensive in depth knowledge of event delivery from either an events or technical/production based background
• Experience of supporting the delivery of corporate communications, marketing campaigns and corporate events
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet targets
• Knowledge of events safety protocols
• The ability to build working relationships with the press and stakeholders
• Experience of working on events within a higher education environment would be a major benefit
