Maintenance Officer

ASA Recruitment are looking for a full time, experienced Maintenance Officer to join an expanding public sector team in Alness.

The successful candidate can be from a private or public sector background and is a 9-5, Monday to Friday role.

The Maintenance Officer role

• Assist in the effective delivery of a responsive repair, void property repair, planned and cyclical maintenance service
• Carry out empty house inspections, identify and liaise with utility companies to ensure power is supplied and identify all essential repairs
• Liaise with various contractors, including Building Services, to ensure the effective and timely completion of work in accordance with agreed service standards
• Liaise and consult with owners where common works are identified and prepare required documentation to progress such works in accordance with policy
• Prepare reports, undertake surveys and compile specification of works where required

Successful candidates for the Maintenance Officer role will require:

• Experience working autonomously to high standards and specifications and relate them to relevant site inspections.
• A strong technical background
• Strong advisory skills with an ability to use these skills to communicate and influence both key stake holders and a close professional team.
• A current, Valid UK driver’s licence and their own means of transport
