Scrum Master

Description

ASA Recruitment’s client within the Public Sector is looking to on board a Scrum Master to improve Agile service delivery. The postholder will do this by running process and identifying digital opportunities. The organisation is looking for help to support and manage cross cutting projects and processes which involve multiple teams.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth development if digital products and processes from discovery through to beta build
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with responsibility for supporting, coaching and matrix managing teams
• Work closely with team members including product Manager and Business Analyst
• Assist teams in the building of digital capability and technical knowledge either to develop and maintain software themselves or to become intelligent customers for digital service provision
• Advocating user focused agile, iterative design and development so that colleagues think differently about digital service delivery
• Maintain awareness and develop collaboration opportunities, sector cross-cutting initiatives and learning opportunities to develop the digital ecosystem and build its pipeline
• Build excellent stakeholder relationships
• Ensure that there is continuity in objectives and outcomes throughout the programme
• Assessing and analysing proposals during the programme and product inception phase and be involved in defining solution approaches
• Presenting the team’s analysis and recommendations at a senior level and achieving business buy-in

Requirements:

• A proven track record of facilitating the delivery of public facing digital solutions, working across all stages from product inception to launch
• Experience in working with technical development teams as a Scrum Master
• Extensive digital delivery experience within large scale technology programmes
• Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams, including coaching and matrix management responsibilities
• Experience of identifying and communicating innovative and successful digital approaches in large organisations
• Ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at the highest level, being aware of motivational needs
• Client and stakeholder management, preferably in central government or public service generally
• Understanding of Scrum and Kanban methodologies
• Certified Scrum Master
• Experience working in agile at scale with a knowledge of SAFe or LeSS
• The postholder will hold a current Basic Disclosure or will be willing to obtain one
