Are you an experienced HR Policy Manager looking for a new, challenging opportunity?
As a HR Policy Manager You will be a confident, flexible, enthusiastic and experienced Human Resources practitioner and will work closely with colleagues to develop new employment policies/guidance and revise existing policies/guidance in line with best practice, employment legislation, annual policy review schedule and organisational/system development. Your key focus will be on COVID-19 policy and guidance ensuring that it is developed/revised in line with government and NHS guidance. You will also be the policy representative for the implementation of the new people system.
Main duties:
· Act as the lead for the development/revision of HR policies/guidance in line with the policy review schedule, employment law, best practice and organisational/systems development
· Working in partnership with the trade union and the business to take a key role in the development and revision of HR policies/guidance including COVID-19
· To support the roll out of new policies and procedures through effective communication and consultation
· To work in conjunction with the Education and Learning Unit to develop any required training using blended learning approaches
· To play a key role in HR projects as detailed in the Business Plan and other HR adhoc projects that may arise;
· Provide accurate advice to managers and staff on employment matters in line with our policies and procedures. Through the use of coaching, promote and maintain a flexible HR advisory service, in particular supporting interpretation of employment law and organisational policies and procedures on key employment matters, such as:
· Coaching and advising managers on people management issues (including those of a complex nature) using a case management approach
· Coaching managers to build their knowledge, experience and confidence increasing their self-reliance and capability;
Responsibilities:
· Demonstrate track record of providing wide ranging, accurate generalist HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
· Knowledge of employment legislation, and experience of applying this in the workplace through policies, procedures and provision of advice
· Possesses excellent analytical, decision making, and influencing skills with the ability to justify rationale
· Educated to degree level or equivalent
· Associate Member of CIPD (Human Resource Management)
· Knowledge and experience of using coaching
· Experienced in drafting papers and reports
· Experience in developing and revising employment policies
· Demonstrate being a team player
· Experience in participating in corporate and change projects
· Experience in carrying out job evaluation
