Are you an experienced Qualified Social Worker looking for a new and challenging opportunity?

ASA Recruitment are looking to speak with Social Workers who have experience with Adults, Children and Families.

ASA are currently looking to fill a number of open positions across Scotland including Argyll and Bute, Angus, East Lothian and Edinburgh.

As a Social Worker you will provide an effective service to service users and carers, promoting a high standard of practice, in accordance with statutory obligations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
· Fulfil the statutory obligations to protect and promote the welfare of service users and carers
· Work directly with Adults or Children and Families and Carers, in accordance with social work values
· Manage a complex caseload, including undertaking needs led assessments and outcome focused support planning
· Negotiate service provision with providers and cost package of care
· Produce, monitor and review support plans, recording unmet need
· Participate in the duty system and contribute to the screening of referrals, including making initial assessments
· Complete risk assessments on all cases using the necessary risk assessment tools
· Ensure all recording is kept up to date
· Produce high quality assessment and support planning reports and other reports, as required
· Liaise effectively and timeously with other agencies, including colleagues in Wellbeing, Police, Health and Voluntary Agencies, to both assess and meet client needs
· Prepare Social Work Reports and other related reports
· Undertake relevant training to maintain and improve professional knowledge and skills and contribute to the learning and development of others
· Keep abreast of changes in procedure, legislation and research as they affect the service and the client group
· Take responsibility for own professional supervision, which will be provided on a planned regular basis
· Coach and mentor colleagues as appropriate, e.g. Social Work Students, Foster Carers
· Represent Wellbeing in a professional and collaborative way in all multi-agency and local community meetings and events
· Undertake such other duties and responsibilities that may be reasonably required by the service

Requirements:
· Degree in Social Work (or other recognised Social Work Qualification, i.e. CQSW, Dip SW, CCETSW)
· Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)
· PVG Membership (Children and Adults) is an essential requirement of this post
